Why is weight loss not on the list?

Our dietitian uses a weight inclusive approach. This means that appointments focus on building health habits, not on weight. Research now shows that weight is not a reliable predictor of health and is an outcome affected by many factors beyond food choice. In these appointments, food is approached as a form of self care, instead of self-control, and it is recognized that healthy bodies exist in a range of sizes. Optimizing nutrition habits will improve health, while the impact on body weight is variable.

Please note, our dietitian does not currently provide tailored meal plans.
