If you’re exhausted and overwhelmed by the amount of information you hear about food, you’re not alone. An appointment with our dietitian can help you sort out fact from fiction. Registered Dietitians are regulated health professionals trained in nutrition and food science. Dietitians undergo 5+ years of post-secondary training, 1600 clinical practice hours, a licensing examination, and must meet annual continuing education requirements.

Nutrition counselling appointments with our dietitian are built on evidence based nutrition information, not fad diets, quick-fixes, or wellness trends. Our dietitian focuses on strategies for incremental and sustainable change, instead of an abrupt diet overhaul. This means you will still be able to enjoy your food!

In this non-judgemental, non-dieting, and weight inclusive approach to nutrition counseling, our dietitian will work with you to develop tailored strategies that suit your circumstance, values, food preferences, and heath goals.

Where is weight loss on the list? At Breathe, we believe you can reach your health goals, regardless of the number on the scale. Our dietitian will not provide strict weight loss numbers or plans, but instead work with you to understand your eating habits, achieve balanced eating patterns, live nutritiously and flexibly, and eventually settle at your personal “best weight”, whatever that number may be.

Please note, our dietitian does not currently have the capacity to provide virtual appointments or tailored meal plans.
