During her time at the University of Western States, Dr. Taylor Jacula learned a variety of treatment techniques including chiropractic manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue manipulation and exercise prescription.
Taylor considers herself a life-long learner and jumps at any opportunity that helps her expand and improve her knowledge and skills to maintain a practice that’s patient centered and evidence based. Through continuing education courses, Taylor has trained in Active Release Technique (ART), instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), dry cupping and taping.
Chiropractic care has been an impactful part of Taylor’s life since she was young. Heavy involvement in competitive soccer led to years of injuries big and small, all of which responded best to chiropractic care.
Interested in a career in sport science, Taylor graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree. In her time between graduating from the U of A and starting her chiropractic program, Taylor had the opportunity to work as a kinesiologist, learning from and working closely with chiropractors to help patients reach their goals through rehab and exercise prescription. It was during her work as a kinesiologist that Taylor’s passion for working hands-on with her patients one-on-one grew.
Although Taylor no longer competes in competitive soccer, she does enjoy weight training, hiking, snowboarding or anything that can get her out to the mountains.
