Dr. Taylor Jacula is a chiropractor who graduated summa cum laude from the University of Western States (UWS) in Portland, Oregon.
During her time at UWS, Taylor learned a variety of treatment techniques such as chiropractic manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue manipulation and exercise prescription. Through further continuing education courses, Taylor has since been trained in techniques such as Active Release Technique (ART), instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), dry cupping and taping. Taylor considers herself a life-long learner and jumps at any opportunity that helps her expand and improve her knowledge and skills, to maintain a practice that is patient centered and evidence based.
Chiropractic care has been an impactful part of Taylor’s life since she was young. Heavy involvement in competitive soccer led to years of injuries of varying degrees, all of which responded best to chiropractic care. Interested in a career in sport science, Taylor graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree. In her time between graduating from the U of A and starting her chiropractic program, Taylor had the opportunity to work as a kinesiologist, learning from and working closely with chiropractors to help patients reach their goals through rehab/exercise prescription. It was during her work as a kinesiologist that Taylor’s passion for working hands on with patients one on one grew. Although Taylor no longer competes in competitive soccer, she does enjoy weight training, hiking, snowboarding or anything that can get her out to the mountains.
